"Every word of God is pure, He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him" Proverbs 30;5
We communicate with words. Our words are the expression of thoughts, feelings, and emotions. With words we bless, and curse. With words we teach, correct, and instruct. With our words we build up or tear down, our words can be a source of life or of death. The natural man, that is man without the understanding of God, man with no desire for relationship with God, wants to take credit for all knowledge, languages, and learning. Unregenerate man wants to believe he alone holds the key to life, the things of the Spirit of God are foolishness to him. The language of God is love. His Word is a precious gift to us, a lamp to illuminate our path in this life, to keep us from stumbling in darkness.
The Bible teaches that Jesus, the Word, was the divine agent in creation. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). "The Word" is God's full and final revelation to us, the means by which He makes known His will, His purposes, His plan for all mankind. By His Word everything was brought into being, and by His Word everything is held together, sustained, and kept for the fulfillment of His will. His word (the Bible) is pure, His promises are true, and His plan is unfathomable. The Spirit of God calls out to us every day with words that can only be heard by the heart , "And the Spirit and the bride say 'Come!', and let him who hears say 'Come!', and let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely". We who belong to Christ by faith are protected by "the Word". He is our strength and shield, our fortress, our strong tower. I pray that you hear the Spirit calling, that the living, powerful Word would be allowed to come in and perform "open heart surgery" on you today. He loves you with an everlasting love, a promise sealed with the blood of His own dear Son.
Prayer for today; "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer"
