Local “child” celebrities model back to school fashions
(Fort Myers, FL) The Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties held a "Back to School Fashion Show" Wednesday July 20, 2011. The show was held at The Salvation Army's Family Store located at 15418 S. Tamiami Trail in South Fort Myers.
Salvation Army family stores provide parents with an extremely affordable alternative to high priced retail outlets. Savvy shoppers can find everything from jeans and tops to school uniforms. Models included the three children of WINK-TV News Anchor Rob Spicker. Rob’s 10-year old daughter Rylie was recently crowned the new 2011 Junior Teen United States World. The event was hosted by WINK-TV News Anchor Lois Thome.
The Salvation Army uses proceeds from its stores to fund its Crossroads Program, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Fort Myers. You can help by shopping at a Salvation Army Family Store or by donating. Items needed include gently used high end clothing, shoes and household items. The Salvation Army also accepts cars, boats, trucks and motorcycles. Just call 1-800-SA-TRUCK.
The Salvation Army operates two other Family Stores in Lee County. They are located at 1855 Boy Scout Drive in Fort Myers and at 4506 Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral. Discounts are available at all three locations during the week. Contact each family store for information.
