Salvation Army 2009 Kettle Kickoff

It’s that time of year when kettles appear, bells sound off and volunteer ringers welcome shoppers at area stores…

Here are the details of the official Salvation Army kick-off for the red kettles in Lee County:

Date:  Friday, November 13, 2009
Time:  10:30 am – 11:15 am
Location: Inside Edison Mall – next to Santa, near Dillard’s mall entrance

Performances by:
• The Salvation Army Music Ensemble
• Bobbie Noonan’s Child Care musical group
• Felix Jiles, local singer


Last year The Salvation Army distributed over 40,000 gifts to children and served over 4,700 families.

This year, the kettle campaign is even more important due to the growing need in our community. Our corporate Kettle Kick-off sponsor is Lee Memorial Health Systems.
