Lee County sheriff's deputies are investigating a break-in and theft which happened Wednesday August 25th at The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store at 15418 South Tamiami Trail.
While we here at The Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry, & Glades Counties will certainly feel the effects and the loss of revenue taken during the break-in, we are extremely saddened that someone felt the need to perpetrate this crime. It unfortunately is just another example of how desperate people are, given the situation with our economy right now. We pray not only for those responsible for this crime, but for their families and loved ones, in the hopes that they are able to find the resources they need to help them during this time.
We urge the community to continue to support our agency and our fellow social service agencies during these trying times. Now more than ever, Southwest Florida residents are in need of our help. It is only through the benevolent support of our community that we are able to fulfill our mission of “making a difference, one life at a time.”
